Brownie

Brownies are one of the most loved chocolate desserts by both kids and adults. It is quite a relish and is pretty easy to prepare. These days you also get a brownie mix ready made that totally saves time. From goey to cakey , a brownie can have in it cream cheese, chocolate, nuts and even fruit cubes depending on the likes. I personally love my brownies with chocolate chunks so here’s my recipe for the same , from scratch.


Serves : 8-10


INGREDIENTS :

1. 1 ½ cup flour

2. 1 cup cocoa powder

3. 1 tsp salt

4. 1 cup melted butter

5. 3 eggs

6. 1 tsp vanilla essence

7. 3 cups sugar

8. Chocolate bar (anything preferable)


TOPPINGS:

1. Castor Sugar (for icing)

2. Strawberries/ raspberries (anything preferable)

3. Chocolate sauce (if preferable)


METHOD :

1. Chop the chocolate bar into small chunks

2. Mix the melted butter and sugar in a bowl. Add eggs and vanilla essence to this and beat the mixture well

3. Add flour, cocoa powder and salt in another bowl

4. Mix the ingredients of both bowls together

[Note: Do not overmix as this can disturb the thick consistency of the batter]

5. Add small chunks of chocolate to the batter

6. Brush the baking dish with some butter or just place a butter paper onto which pour the batter and even it out

7. Bake for around 20-25 minutes at 180 degree C

[Note: Check if it has been done after 15 minutes using a toothpick]

8. Once done, remove the brownie from the oven ,allow it to cool for a couple of minutes and cut it into small pieces to serve

9. You could drizzle some chocolate sauce / melted chocolate if you’d like or even icing sugar and relish it with some strawberries or just a warm glass of milk!
